Chocolate Ganache Tart

Posted 4 years ago

Quick Simple Post for a quick simple desert. This tart is fast to make, easy, and so good and fancy that people with think you slaved over it for hours.

Crust
1 1/2C Chocolate Crumbs (Oreo Crumb)

1/4C Unsalted Butter

Melt butter and combine with crumbs. Press into tart pan (I used a small pie plate really), and bake in oven for 10 min at 350 degrees.
Chocolate Ganache Filling
9.5-10 oz semi sweet chocolate (chocolate chips) {More Chocolate = firmer filing so you choose}
1 C whipping Cream
Put cream in stove on pot and bring just to simmer, remove from heat and add chocolate chips, let sit with out stirring for 1 minute  After the minute, stir. And stir, and stir. It takes a bit to combine properly but once its one smooth velvety constancy its done. Every time I make this I swear the sucker isn’t going to combine properly, that its too watery, but it always works out. Pour into cooled Crust and let set for at least 2 hours. I like to Garnish with Whipped Cream. Fruit, such as red berries is great as is Ice Cream but I had neither on hand.

I also highly suggest a drink on hand. I prefer milk or water, its very very rich and you only need a small piece. Its enough to make you want to go back for more and more it so good, but also so thick and rich you cant eat too much.
